Today I finally finished a 1B patient in one appointment. I was so excited. I finished about 15 minutes late but I didn't care, I got his cleaning done. It was a very busy and stressful morning though. Because I have so many requirements that I still need to get done by the end of the semester I was really rushing to finish him in the one appointment today. I was able to get BWX and PAs, pass off the Diagnodent PE and the Anterior Instrumentation PE, and clean his whole mouth. Whew!!! Now I just need to continue to get a little faster each time. Today gave me some hope that I will be able to complete my requirements.
My goal for Monday clinic is to complete at least half of my patient's mouth, if not all in one appointment again. I'm not sure what classification she will be so if she is a 1B I will complete her in one appointment (hopefully) and if she is a higher classification I hope to complete the scaling in half her mouth and complete the other half in another shorter appointment.
